Veiled Conceit: Lazaressurection
"There's no way she wasn't going to marry a Jew," Mr. Brodesser said of the conversion he made last year. And what of his visit to the mohel who did the circumcision? "It didn't tickle," he said. Ms. Akner, 30, recalled, "He was drugged, but the amount of Xanax I was on rivaled it."
(Veiled Conceit is fun..."A glimpse into that haven of superficial, pretentious, pseudo-aristocratic vanity: The NY Times' Wedding & Celebration Announcements". I'm glad she's back!)

Cabbage Hell
My daughter won't eat vegetables, so we're in a new phase where she tries one new vegetable a week (her choice which one), and we see which ones stick. Unfortunately her veggie of the week is cabbage, and I haven't got a clue what to do with it aside from cabbage rolls. So here are some recipes- wish me luck! If anyone has any other great suggestions, please let me know.

Canada has "placed itself alongside China as the cruelest and most self-serving nation."
And Morrissey said it, so you know that it's true.
I'd thought that McCartney's protest was pathetic, but Morrissey? Next thing you know Kool and the Gang will be up here throwing their bodies between us blood-crazed Canadians and the cute little baby seals.

The Movie Timeline
The Movie Timeline
"The Movie Timeline is the history of everything, taken from one simple premise: that everything you see in the movies is true - the real mixes with the fictitious, so long as it's reported in a movie somewhere..."
For example...
n the beginning... God created the heavens and the earth (The Bible)
A long time ago... Luke Skywalker and Han Solo lead a rebellion against the evil empire(Star Wars)
26,000,000,000BC Los Angeles (and everywhere else) - The Earth's crust begins to harden (Adaptation)
5,000,000BC Martians uplift apes to become intelligent as a way to preserve their own society (Quatermass and the Pit)
4,000,000BC Aliens leave monolith on Earth (2001: A Space Odyssey)
1,000,000BC Loana faces dinosaurs to be with Tumak, a caveman banished from his savage tribe, and then from her gentler group of cave people (One Million Years BC)
San Dimas, Ca - A phone box briefly arrives from the future containing Bill S Preston and Ted 'Theodore' Logan (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure)
80,000BC A tribe of early man searches for fire (Quest For Fire)
FUN!
