I have been trying to find someone else who isn't agog at the "wonderful news" that 60 Minutes touted last night. It was awful and did not touch on any of the additional problems that accompany the surgery.
Check out the other links that I posted there...you'll find that not everyone thinks that bypass is the be all and end all. It really distressed me how superficial this treatment was, to say the least, and I find it frightening to think how many people watched that and then decided to have the surgery. I'm not saying that it's a bad surgery, but that was more of a commercial than an actual "60 minutes".
